R438 AVR
R438 Permanent Magnet Generator or A.R.E.P or Auxiliary Winding type generator voltage regulator is a compatible replacement for R448, R449, R438, and AEM110RE016 and also 922 124.
The circuitry of the R438 Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) provides closed loop contro of the generator output voltage by regulatin exciter field current,R438 can be powered by EREP or PMG field excitation system and fitted as an option on:
-100series generators
-200series generaotors
-300series generators
With the AREP excitation system the R438 AVR is powered by two auxiliary windings which are independent of the voltage detection circuit.With the PMG option the R438 AVR is powered by the PMG which is fitted ar the rear end of the generator.
